Punchmode   was based by one of Hip Hop’smost underrated artist in the rap game . Valet  has been making  music for  ï»¿ a decade and hasn’t got ï»¿ the attention  ï»¿ he earned . With hits like “Suzuki Samurai,“  “I Don’t Need No Band” and “Jus U And Me“ it makes me wonder  why  Valet   hasn’t got ï»¿ his reward in in the rap industry . The industry  is  wrong   if they assume  that a major deal  is everything.  Indie    emcee’s   are making more   revenue   than signed  emcee’s . This is because independent  M.C’s   own all they’re royalties . They don’t  answer to no one but themselves. If you could establish a fan base of 50,000,what do you need a deal for? You could distribute  your Cd’s  for  three   dollars and still make a cool net income, not to mention the digital sells. Who needs  a deal  if they are making $100,000 dollars independently every album. Don’t cast off your money on websites  saying   they can get you a deal within  thirty   days and blah, blah, blah . Instead, use that currency  to advertise your music calling. Once you establish  enough attention  , you don’t  have to  look for   them they  will look for you. I think this is a  understandable   mistake for up and coming artist , these artist   are searching for  labels . Let the  labels   look for you.

Indie  music has it’s weaknesses just like major labels . The good  thing about  indie   music is most of the time you will get your money’s  worth. i don’t mean the music you buy off the street in a jewel case with marker writing on it. I mean professionally wrapped  cd’s . If you were to buy a cd  for ten  dollars and it’s not professionally wrapped, then slap  yourself, you have just been robbed. You shouldn’t pay no more than $5  dollars for unprofessional cd’s  and that’s if your having a good  day . But , if the  cd   looks like it’s worth $10  dollars then by all means buy it . Most likely the M.C.  has put some time   into his music . The problem with Major Labels is 3 good songs and the rest garbage. I’m tired of spending $12 -$15  dollars on Cd’s that aren’t worth ten cent. The only good song on the album, is the single they put out. If you are a signed artist, there should be three  bad songs out of the 15, not vice versa. You get good quality audio frequency but, bad quality music, it’s time for a change. Email overload has finally met its match. Tomorrow, Gmail is rolling out a new feature called Priority Inbox that is going to be a Godsend for those of you who dread opening your email. In short, Google has built a system that figures out which of your messages are important, and presents them at the top of the screen so you don’t miss them. The rest of your messages are still there, but you don’t have to dig through dozens of newsletters and confirmations to find the diamonds in rough.

The beauty of the system lies in its simplicity — it’s nearly as easy as Gmail’s one click spam filter. There’s almost no setup: once it’s activated on your account, you’ll see a prompt asking you if you want to enable Priority Inbox. You can choose from a few options (the order of your various inboxes and if there are any contacts you’d like to always mark ‘Important’) but don’t have to setup any rules or ‘teach’ Gmail what you want it to mark important. It just works, at least most of the time. More information: click here
