 During the last week of March, is taking place in Valencia one of the greatest Festival in Spain  .

 Its origin is based on  a tribute to St. Joseph, patron of the carpenters’ guild.  During this week, take place many differents parties, being The Falles the primary one  . Along the Falles week, in a show of art, the metropolis turns into an ironic museum open 24 hours a day, and made up of an artistic collection of more than 350 monuments made from carton, set up in the center of the city’s streets. Those unique sculptures are called “ninots” and  their aim is to   cause giggles among the Valencian people, due to their bold criticism of society and present politics.

 Valencia’s festivals are always defined by light, gunpowder, music and flowers  . On the last night, at midnight, they are burned in immense spectacularly attractive pyres.

During the week of Fallas, and for 24 hours a day, there are bands of music, people singing and having fun, live shows on the streets, shows with gunpowder and fireworks, tasting conventional food and drink .. . Everything you need to bear in mind your visit to Valencia in Fallas week … One of the craziest, international and spectacular parties in Spain.
